Jump in the HPO Time Machine, we are going on a musical adventure! Join HPO musicians and your guide Composer-in-Residence Abigail Richardson-Schulte for an unforgettable concert experience spanning centuries. Hear celebrated and significant chamber music from all over the world beginning with works by composers from Canada, Japan and the United States and venturing back to 17th Century Western Europe. We’ll learn about acclaimed composers throughout history including Haydn, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky and hear work from composers living today like Reena Esmail and Dai Fujikura. From familiar melodies to exciting new works, students get to experience an HPO performance while learning the science behind sound and the families of the orchestra.
